Why Sharpen?
What do you do with a dull pencil? Go out and buy a new one, or sharpen the one you have? That's the concept behind sharpening drill bits. Just like pencils, drill bits can be sharpened dozens of times before they are worn out.  They are NOT use-once, throw-away. Sharpening is convenient and saves you time and money!

Save Time/Save Money

How long does it take you to drive to the hardware store, buy a new drill bit and return home?  It only takes about one minute to sharpen a drill bit. You get back to work right away.

A drill bit can be re-sharpened many times, and each time it is restored to new condition. Sharpening extends the life of the drill bit and significantly reduces the number of new bits you have to buy. Our customers report dozens of sharpenings from a single drill bit!

Extend the Life of your Electric Drills

When you drill with a dull bit, you must apply more pressure to drill the hole.  You find yourself pressing harder and harder to drill the next hole, especially when drilling metal.  The additional pressure is applied back to the drill motor which can cause it to wear out prematurely.  By using sharp drill bits, you are minimizing the stress applied to the drill motor and bearings, thereby extending the life of your drill.

Ecology

We recycle paper, cans, bottles and plastic.  Why not drill bits?  Don't throw those dull bits away, extend their life.  Get your money's worth!

Sharpening your drill bits makes sense.  You save time and money, and get extended life from your drill bits and your tools. If you use a drill, then you need a Drill Doctor in your toolkit.
